| Gene Summary | The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the highly conserved cyclin family, whose members are characterized by a dramatic periodicity in protein abundance throughout the cell cycle. Cyclins function as regulators of CDK kinases. Different cyclins exhibit distinct expression and degradation patterns which contribute to the temporal coordination of each mitotic event. This cyclin forms a complex with and functions as a regulatory subunit of CDK4 or CDK6, whose activity is required for cell cycle G1/S transition. This protein has been shown to interact with tumor suppressor protein Rb and the expression of this gene is regulated positively by Rb. Mutations, amplification and overexpression of this gene, which alters cell cycle progression, are observed frequently in a variety of human cancers. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2019] |

Western blot analysis using Cyclin D1 antibody against Hep G2 (1), T24 (2), Hela (3) cell lysate.12% SDS-PAGE gel.Sample loading: 20μg /lane. Transfer the proteins onto a PVDF membrane (OM790003), and block it with TBST (OM750016) plus skimmed milk powder for one hour. Dilute the primary antibody with the antibody diluent (OM750012) at a ratio of 1:1000, and incubate it overnight at 4°C. Wash the membrane three times with TBST (OM750016), 5 minutes each time. At room temperature, dilute the secondary antibody, Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H&L)-HRP (OM643487), at a ratio of 1:20000 and incubate for one hour. Wash the membrane three times with TBST (OM750016) again, 5 minutes each time. Use ECL (OM625701) for luminescence.staining time: 60S.
