Product description
Interleukin 17A (IL17A) is a proinflammatory cytokine secreted by activated T-lymphocytes. It is a potent inducer of the maturation of CD34-positive hematopoietic precursors into neutrophils. The transmembrane protein encoded by this gene (interleukin 17A receptor; IL17RA) is a ubiquitous type I membrane glycoprotein that binds with low affinity to interleukin 17A. Interleukin 17A and its receptor play a pathogenic role in many inflammatory and autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis. Like other cytokine receptors, this receptor likely has a multimeric structure. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.

Western blot analysis of CD217 against human CD217 (AA: extra 33-320) recombinant protein. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% BSA in PBS for 1 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (EM1711-83, 1/500) was used in 5% BSA at room temperature for 2 hours. Goat Anti-Mouse IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody at 1:5,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature.
Application
Western blot analysis of CD217 against HEK293 (1) and CD217 (AA: extra 33-320)-hIgGFc transfected HEK293 (2) cell lysate.
Application
Flow cytometric analysis of CD217 was done on HL-60 cells . The cells were fixed, permeabilized and stained with the primary antibody (EM1711-83, 1/100) (green). After incubation of the primary antibody at room temperature for an hour, the cells were stained with a Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated goat anti-Mouse IgG Secondary antibody at 1/500 dilution for 30 minutes. Unlabelled sample was used as a control (cells without incubation with primary antibody; red).
